Mavin Records chief, Don Jazzy, reacts after social media platform, Twitter, locked his account due to copyright infringement.
Twitter warned Don Jazzy of a looming suspension if his account continues to flout the platform’s copyright rules.
The music producer, in his response, sent out a general warning to fresh talents asking him to promote their songs via his platform to inform their record labels ahead of his tweet, so as not to go against Twitter rules.
“All of you signed to major record labels, abeg talk to your labels before asking me to post your work o. Stop making Twitter and Instagram lock my account for copyright infringement. I can’t shout. Messing up my Algo,” he said.
The photo that accompanied Don Jazzy’s tweet disclosed a warning from Twitter giving reasons for the block.
The notice read: “Your account is now available for use. Please be aware that any additional notices against your account may result in your account being locked again and potentially suspended.
“In order to avoid this, do not post any additional material in violation of our copyright policy and immediately remove any material from your account for which you are not authorized to post.”
